We have been working for the holistic development of persons with physical disabilities, with an emphasis on visually challenged people by creating equal opportunity and integrating this differently abled people into mainstream society by empowering them to live a normal life with the use of technology and scientific devises/aids & appliances.
IDL established in 2003, inaugurated by great cricket legends Mr. Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and other team mates along with Bangalore City Police Commissioner, Minister of Women & Child Welfare-Karnataka, Film Actors and noted celebrities.
IDL started ability in disability Blind Band, music troupe by visually challenged in the presence of Indian Cricketers M.S.Dhoni, Virendra Shewag, Yuvaraj, Dravid and others in 2006. Bringing social transformation and raising funds for charity through music.
IDL has a two floor building with all facilities suitable for special people. In 2008 hostel was inaugurated by Cricketers HARBAJAN, RABIN UTTAPPA and SHREESHANTH, along with then DG & IGP SRIKUMAR & S.T.RAMESH and Government Officials.
Dr P K Paul was a Self-made man, focused, hardworking, goal and result oriented, who dedicated his life to the service of humanity and any good cause. He has been a ray of hope to many blind people, a strong support system to stand for them, not only by providing them basic necessities like food, shelter and clothing, but also to make them strong enough to stand on their own feet by imparting professional skills to build a career by themselves.
Dr P K Paul has always been our inspiration and will remain to be, deep rooted in our hearts forever. His shining light will always guide us through our life-time to continue this enormous cause that he has built and we will walk in his guidance to take this foundation further from here. He always believed in Helen Keller’s quote which says “Alone we can do so little, together we do so much.” And we also believe in the same Philosophy. Individuals and Institutions pursue diverse routes to help blind people, but often operate in isolation. A symbiotic relationship among these organizations would propel synergy unleashing tremendous energy. A cohesive network of all these like-minded together is the key to success. Collectively we can make a difference and make world a better place to live in.
Dr. Shiny has been well know for her profession as an HR and Admin has used her talents and skills to an achiever, despite the pain and loss of her dear Husband Dr. P.K Paul who left to heavenly abode on the 6th of April 2021 , who has left behind his three Daughters Sharon Teresa, Abigail Indiana and Ivy Titianna, she now holds the baton of service in her hand and wants to justify her service Rightfully and Righteously.

A service oriented HR Professional with 17 years of Corporate experience who has tops eyed the society by her continued efforts of uplifting the down trodden and has added great value to the society.
At IDL foundation we Currently are running 3 Blind hostels and cater to 50 blind students on their fooding & lodging education, sports we have branched out on a old age home and hoping to open more branches in Hyderabad soon.
We recently visited IDL Foundation to celebrate our kid’s birthday and we really felt the positive vibes all over the place. The cause is highly appreciable and the staff here are really very friendly and they take real good care.
We were really blessed to spend our time with such great souls. Unfortunately, the most important sensory organ does not co-operate with them but, they are highly talented and capable in many other ways.
We had recently requested the Blind Band to perform for a small event held at our society. The staff here are so humble, they took very good care of artists and organised the whole event so well that everything went very smooth.
